We often think it is difficult to get rid of a habit. A habit is a result of continuous repetitions of a work. Habit comes in us by family members, parents, influence or by surrounding but it's always up to us what to make as our habit. Take an example from a short story, Once there lived a farmer he had two sons both had same skills and intelligence. The farmer had a bad habit of shouting and blaming others for every problem in his life. His children observed him very carefully and with time his sons grew up. One son became exactly like him he blamed his animals, workers, field for any fault in growing crops. He ended his thinking on blaming others and shouting, instead of finding ways to improve he overlooked his growth. Whereas the other son who faced that same condition took his father's bad habit seriously, he also made a habit. A habit of not shouting or blaming others so he would not end his thinking for any problem until he found its solution. Better to say he formed a good habit in that same situation which was common to his brother, he invited progress and led a better successful life.
If you pay attention to your actions, thoughts and practice it seriously you can change any habit irrespective of when it was formed. Some times people may even have a bad habit of insulting or would enjoy insulting others. Why does any person insult someone have you given it a thought ? Many a time people insult others and even get insulted by others. It seems the entire world follows a behaviour of insulting. Like a husband insults his wife, father insults his child, employer insults his employees therefore whoever is powerful insults the weaker. If we are strong then we fight for that insult and if we do not have the power to fight then we accept that insult considering ourselves as weak and helpless. This feeling of being helpless makes one fall in his own eyes, the person then becomes weaker. They get used to suffer the atrocity of others. Self-confidence gets destroyed and when there is no self-confidence people try to find happiness in the addictions like drinking and gambling. They become sick from their mind.

Why one causes such a bad effect for others? What does the insulter really try to prove? In reality one insults someone to prove the weakness of other person. To tell that they are more powerful. Therefore the insulter tries to prove itself as powerful or strong. The insulter is not satisfied with its power and they don't believe it so by challenging others they try to win confidence over their power. Isn't it true that when one insults someone they just show that they do not have confidence on their power. This worlds seems to them as a struggle, a never ending war. They find everyone coming near to them as a challenger even if the other maybe their spouse. They feel that they have to prove their power or they will be suppressed but if they consider the other as their friend, well wisher, helping hand instead of enemy. If they start acknowledging and loving other people then 'insulting' will never be required. The one who does not have self confidence can not love but whose heart is filled with love they neither insult nor accept insult.
